LIES

by CWG   Mar 6, 2008

I thought what we had was special
Something rare and true
Now I don't know what we have
But I never lied to you

How could you face me
And repeatedly tell lies
Day after day
Looking straight into my eyes

I thought I could trust you
You promised you would never lie
But like all the rest
You destroyed me inside

Now what do we do
Where do we go from here
I don't know if I'll ever trust again
Is it worth the heartache and tears

You were the only person in the world
That I felt I could trust
And you took that away from me
The world is so unjust

Why didn't you feel you could talk to me
And tell me what was going on
You know we could have worked through anything
But lying is so wrong

You had no faith in me
In us or the love we had
Now because of all the lies
I am all alone and so very sad.

Lying is the greatest sin a relationship cannot withstand. Trusts executioner, painful and unforgiveable because they do it again and again. So many people lie instead of holding their head high. Karma, pride and the golden rule point the way to the high road. I too have been victimized by this immoral curse. Brought crashing down, defeated by one trusted and loved completely without reservation for many years.

Im sorry that you had to go threw that ... i feel bad i truely do ...
and it is good to have poems come from somewhere not just out of the blue ...
all poems should have a life story backing them up ...
