Kate

by Mike Wilburn   Apr 10, 2008

A rebel gal extraordinary
Best friend; answer to a prayer
Leaves me wanting more
Didn't realize what I was missing before

Nurturing a classic example
Any doubt she does trample
Straight to the point without hesitation
Fear not, miscommunication

Kate's the name, her family proud
Discouraging words not allowed
Mississippi maiden, gorgeous girl
Queen of the delta, a real pearl

Memphis home, Tennessee State
Friends and sisters, life was great
Chickasaw Bluff, old man river
Shelby County lady, a true giver

Southern daughter uprooted
Rocky Mountain bound undisputed
Families yearning but her heart is true
Loyal she follows, a Colorado debut
