Fire and Ice

by RetroRavey   May 3, 2008

The power of fire and ice.
A raging battle between the two,
A violent battle
That neither one won.

I am ice.
She is fire.
I almost put her out
While she was melting me.
She never meant to
But none the less
It scalded.
I am cold,
Always trying to be numb
To the love
To the pain.
And she is burning.
A passion fills her
For all her love
And all her hate.
That scared me,
For while I lay emotionless
She twirled in a fiery blaze.
She twisted and sang
In that gargantuan flame.
She was alive
While I lay lifeless.

We were.
We are no longer.
I am ice.
She is fire.
I am melting
While she still burns.

*It's very abrupt and simply written, but I think it's better that way.*
