At World's End.

by Not Bulletproof   May 26, 2008

Today I watched the sun explode,
I saw the darkness fill the road.
I know the world is soon to fall;
the largest empire of them all.

If I am to die within this cold,
please just give me someone to hold.
Make the process somewhat easy,
knowing someone will remember me.

The plants and crops are first to go,
but then I'm next, and this I know,
and the thought burns my icy skin;
the loneliness is too much to take in.

Who will hold my hand at the end?
Guide me through life's final bend?
Suddenly, I'm afraid of the dark,
afraid that no one will see my heart.

As the world closes in around me,
I'm in not one person's memory.
I've been forgotten in Love's world,
so I'm going to die a lonely girl.
