Be Careful What You Wish For

by TorturedTourniquet   Jul 24, 2008

I wished he would come back one day
I wished he'd find my name
I wished I'd meet him just one time
I wished he wished the same
I wished for nothing to go wrong
I wished for perfection to reign
I wished that everything would be right
I wished I could complain
I wished for something to help me
I wished to make him proud
I wished to make him hate me more
I wished to scream out loud
I wished he would be what I wanted
I wished I could look in his eyes
I wished I could call him my father
I wished he never said his goodbyes
I wish there was nothing to wish for
I wish I could take it all back
Be careful what you wish for
Because you find that what you want is what you lack
What you wish for can be dangerous
There's no way to stop what's real
There's nothing like a wish come true
To make you see why wishes are just another deal
