Emotional Incest

by Joe Moore   Jun 5, 2004

Last night I caught my anger
in bed with my vengeance
the horror of that incest
brought me to the reality
that my soul had mixed allegiance

where was my conscience
was it not there to guide them,
to mold and scold them
keep their relationship healthy and pure,
to reassure their censorship
so that the companionship
doesn't allow them to cross those
delicately fine lines.

vengeance and anger
what offspring would they produce
warmongering, grim reapery, adultery,
or a vigilanty. the birth of
such a demon on this earth
is not worth the 5 minutes of intercourse.
Protection from this demon seed
mandates your attention more closely,
for the result could catapult a catastrophic conclusion like seclusion or exclusion for incest is always
looked upon as sadistic confusion.
nothing less than incest
does the devil see as perfect love
