Body Language

by Gentle Storm   Sep 22, 2008

The mind says go, but the heart says no,
The hands hold on, but the fingers let go,
The feet tread on, the legs bend at the knees,
Agree with the legs? The knees are not at ease!
They do want to bend, but, just one more step....
And all the eyes see is no farther than that one more step.
The right sees dark but the left sees a light,
One ear hears you can't but one hears you just might!
Neither of the nostrils speak in the same breath,
One smells victory, One smells death,
A rose in full bloom,
And a scent that spells doom!

The stomach is full from the despair and the stress,
But also hungers and desires for pride and success.
The neck knows not of whom to support,
The forehead or the chin, whichever falls to naught?
The chin wants the head high in pride akin to sheer madness!
The forehead wants the head sunk low, in mere sadness...
The mouth is loose, confused and bemused!
When to choose to talk, when does it refuse?
When to start to jabber? When to wait a while?
One word is pure honey, the next is pure vile!

But alas! The night is nigh, and the darkness descends,
It is rest, in wait, for what the next morning portends,
In this rife ebb and flow, we dare to call life.

Yet again awesome! Finding life in life itself! What i see in this poem here are issues regarding issues..... something like good and bad, but most importantly of choices.... confusing no doubt but life it is, and will be so. Just wanted to let u know i really liked how u picked different parts of the body to contradict life itself!! Absolutely unique.
