Awakened all is lost

by Quietly Versed   Oct 13, 2008

I testify to gratitude,
an angry song so destitute,
with melody soft but shrewd.

And humbleness I've found again,
I stupor over thoughts of when,
loneliness becomes my friend.

I crawl alone,
from the happy lost that was my home,
my hands still muddied with dreamer's loam.
