Middle Me

by Megan Olney   Oct 18, 2008

Stuck here in the middle
I feel passed on by
I never get noticed
No matter how hard I try

With 2 older and 2 younger
There never was enough time
Mama with her banking
Daddy fighting crime

Michelle is gorgeous
And she can really dance
I couldn't be like her
Even if i had the chance

I tried my hardest at school
But Melissa was the best
It seemed to be so easy
For her to ace the tests

Marcia is the songbird
She's so lucky in that way
She's got a pretty lilt
To everything she can say

Michael is the baby
Both talented and smart
An abundance of brains
And an extra big heart

Where do I fit in
Squeezed in there somewhere
Sometimes I feel so alone
In the middle no one cares

Everyone laughs about middle me
So different from the rest
Although special and unique
It seems I'm never the best
