The falling angel

by Fading Memories   Nov 5, 2008

I ascended from depression
Just to find another girl
She was descending into obsession
A fallen angel a tarnished pearl

Her wings were tattered and torn
Her hair long and straight
Her face showed no expression except for her unkempt hate

I couldn't help but grab her hand.
Time stopped the falling grains of sand.
I tried to pull her up in vain
As she went further down again.

Each time I tried to pull her up
The further she down she fell deaths cup.

I grabbed her hand and hugged her tight
My wings of ascension gone, I lost flight
We fell together that girl and me
Dreaming of the day when we could all be free....
