And we Dance.

by InvisiblyHeartless   Dec 3, 2008

Dance with me when no music can be heard
Whisper simple words with a very true meaning
Twist and turn, make me feel like a princess
You can save me from my high tower of stone
Break the foundation with your white stallion
Give me daises instead of extravagant roses
I'll just pull them apart, petal for petal,
Thinking about those tiny little letters at the end
Touching you makes me feel butterflies
It's electric, the warmth in my hand you leave
Don't let me go tonight, slow dance in silence
I don't want sappy compliments or jokes
I want to feel the quiet in our simple little waltz
Don't call me your Juliet, they all went away
Make me your immortal so we can do this always
Lead my clumsy feet to the beat of our hearts
Try the shoe on my slightly big bare foot
If the cold little glass slipper fits, I'll wear it
Sequins and makeup cover the true feelings
I only want you to sing me a song without words
Tell me how you feel about me in tranquility
You can step on my feet, and my black dress
Words start to edge the tip of your lips
I fight them back, smiling at my gentle kiss
"Shhhh, love, don't speak at all, not one sound."
I would throw you into a sudden spiral
Laughing, we began dancing to elevated hearts
The light smile I'm carrying leading you on
I'll always let down my hair for you, my prince
Riding on your beautiful horse, holding you tightly
You taught me something about real love
It doesn't fit in the box, the three simple words

And we dance.
