Beautifully Human.

You inspire me.
You inspire me like
the first brush stroke of paint on a blank canvas,
like Mahatma inspired the revolutionary peace,
like all the scriptures of Siddhartha
reverberating in the tranquil silence of
when war could not touch upon humanity,
when doubt and confusion did not mean insanity and
when you could still find innocence in the eyes of a child,
you inspire me and
your inspiration breathes life in me,
bleeds ink onto paper to say
what I only wish I could speak,
because, you see, I know how love
hurts, how lies breed in something once honest
and that pain can sometimes swallow us
if we let ourselves become lost and I know how
life hurts.
But you are beautiful.
You are truly beautiful and you move me
like a river moves through the valley.
You move me like each raindrop
on a thirsty tierra,
like the first blossom of spring, like
five years old,
my eyes still lit up to behold the light of a new morning.
Your words are powerful and
they shake my world with a soulful tune,
a cool summer breeze --golden memories --
I feel its embrace,
this melody,
this shimmer a glimmer of poetry moving me
swaying me with a familiar rhythm and
all the power of the sun,
you inspire me like the subtle beauty in tears,
like warmth on a cold night, finding laughter
when all else is solemn,
you inspire me.
You are beautifully human.
