Darkness (anthithesis)

by Hey Brittknee   Jun 24, 2009

In the midst of darkness
Silence fills the air
Within the depths of dampness
Lies coldness and despair

A white feather lies upon the ground
Untouched by dust or dirt
Surrounded by the darkness
But still it is not hurt

A light then shines upon it
The night it fades away
A hole within the emptiness
A feather there to stay

Within the depths of bitterness
Darkness and despair
A feather falls from the sky
Lights the darkness that is there
