Depression Thief

by Lenny   Sep 15, 2009

Depression-
I remember you.
Warm cups of tea leaves
Pressed to breast
The cold
Blankets and flannel
Cant suppress.

Oh tears
Emotion you...
Hits like darkness
With each turn
Im turning
Into something

I used to know
I used to be

Identity
SHAKEN

Frangipani in the rain
Stale cologne lingers
In a t-shirt
And youre back

Depression
Tears
Replacing identity

And yet
Defining me.

Extraordinary-
Stop pounding
Future
My dreams are beautiful
Beautiful
Beautiful dreams
The mantra goes

But future you dont knock
You pound
And I want identity back
DEPRESSION THIEF.
