I wish you the best in your life,
You who occupied my heart for years.
Don't think I'll ever hate you, no
And today, i cry happy tears.

It is better to have loved you and lost,
Than never to have loved you, my dear.
May your life be full of peace and smiles,
And may your sky be always clear.

I love you from the depths of my heart,
And i know you love me too.
It's good to know that we'll still be friends,
That you'll respect me and I'll respect you.

May your sky be full of sunshine,
And rainbows after refreshing rains,
I have completely forgiven you,
Though you've caused me much pain.

And now go, May the Lord protect you,
My sweet beloved Sire.
May you live long enough to achieve your dreams,
And may your successes grow higher and higher.

I love you from the depths of my heart,
God knows how much that's true.
It's enough that my heart once was beating for your sake,
It's wonderful that once it was owned by you.

I wish you the best in your life,
You who occupied my heart for years.

And may your life be full of cheers.

*Dedicated to my first true love. We have called it quits, but i whole-heartedly dedicate this write to him, and i truly, wish him the best in his life :) God bless and protect him.

    This is really sweet, I like the whole idea of you forgiving him and wish him all the best even though he had cause you so much pain before.

    My favorite lines are:

    Than never to have loved you, my dear.

    ^^^ I like how you express this, it's just full of sincerity. It's so true what you said, sometimes though things didn't worked out but at least you know , how it feels to once be loved by someone whom you love.

    I really enjoyed reading this poem.

    What a lovely poem. To be able to move on with such love still in your heart is wonderful. To forgive someone is actually the best gift you can give yourself. To be able to release the pain allows you to live.
