Empty Arms

by Tylor Dent   Feb 8, 2010

I lock myself up in my room,
To hide the pain inside.
On the outside I fake a smile,
But when alone all I do is cry.

Everyday that passes,
The pain continues to grow.
And the emptyness within me,
Has found itself a home.

My tears become more frequent,
As the memories rush through my head.
Everyday I grow weaker and weaker,
As this depressions become my friend.

Without you I am nothing,
I've lost almost all my faith.
Everything seems blurry now,
The only thing clear is your face.

I'd give up anything to hold you,
And feel your lips on mine.
To feel your gentle warming touch,
And to see your beautiful smile.

So as I lay awake tonight,
Tossing in the the dark.
My mind will only wonder to you,
And the feel of my empty arms.
