Who do you see?

by Alice   Feb 19, 2010

To look in the mirror and see nothing more than the shadows of your soul leaving you to ponder their purpose and why they consume the image before your loathing eyes

To wake up and realize that hidden beyond your gentle skin lies a beast that feeds upon your inner thoughts and forces you into a submission surrounded in visionary lies

Understanding yourself to be not yourself at all but two separate bodied individual beings fighting amongst one another to gain control of your hopeless clouded mind

How does one understand this constant battle the urge to inflict great pain upon those of which you say you love? The urge to do two opposite things for something you must find

Constant screaming of your tortured thoughts your emotions tossed at sea for as you look into the mirror who is it that you truly see?

As your eyes turn away from the ugly tarnished image your composure does return to that of the better half the one you wish today at least for all to see you be
