Contention

Given one final night, what would you do?
stand up for your morals, fight for your king
stand as the arbiter for what you know is true
stand up! fight for what you believe in!

wield the blade of your own perceived justice
fear not the strikes of those that oppose
for their strikes surely must miss
as yours toward their jugulars close

the dynasty must topple,
you must bask in their defeat
you must bathe in their blood,
in their essence - replete
you are the one foe
that they may not beat

Sever the ties that bind them to the living
epitomize your beliefs...stand as an avatar
for their life-essence, it must stop giving
to this affront of your pride, of who you are

Stand up! fight for what you believe in!
stand as the arbiter for what you know is true
stand up for your morals, fight for your king
given one final night, what would you do?
