STABBED HEART

STABBED HEART

Where dreams ended,
Reality was dawning.
Slowly like the creeping mist,
For the pain was excruciating,
Cut so deep
Stabbed in the heart.
Oozing red flowing through life,
Freezing the soul

Time ,the unbound healer
Knows no difference.
Finally when the feet hit the ground
Eyes began to see...
Legless soldiers reporting to duty,
Widowed women with too many daughters
A blind man having throat cancer
Skeletal children with full blown AIDS

Should a stabbed heart be so painful
A thought tingles the mind
And the frozen soul so deprived of love
Begins to warm again.
