Random Vents

by Ndanileka   Jun 20, 2011

I could calm down a hostile crowd
Make a church start a riot
Place me in any position and I can lead
Just afraid to start the movement

Cold world I could never fit
Like a reject puzzle with defect pieces
No matter how hard you try they never fit

Decided to leave in my own shell
Pick it up and listen you won't hear the sound of the ocean
Because it was to afraid to leave the shore

"I finally found myself"
I thought they were crazy
Now I know what it means

I sit for hours and dwell in the music
Dissect every lyric
Because that's where I seem to find the meaning

When they don't understand they start calling out names
Weird and paranoid huh?
Just because I can see beyond the visible

Got so much potential just don't know how release it
The pressure is building up
The steam is slowly seeping

Till the day I wake up
To realize I was only dreaming
And just laugh it all out
Because then I would have found the meaning

I like this. The potential and the accomplishment already are evident. It could do with a polish i feel to settle the rhythm a little. There are some truly excellent allusions in here which i had thought of (despite having many years head start on you).
A quick revision would really pay dividends.
    Excellent poem
