I'm Not Your Woman

by Jess   Dec 15, 2011

It's not the words you speak,
It's the way you say them.

I'm sorry, if my pride
overpowers your selfish needs.

I will never, ever let you
take advantage of me.

I'm not your woman,
I am nobody's woman.

I don't need a man
to make me happy.

I have all I need,
right in front of me.

So before you go off
calling me your girl.

Get it through your head,
women are not objects.

You cant just buy our love,
your words don't mean a thing.

Ah, yes. Always had so much attitude in your teen years. You can feel it in your poems. A very rebellious teen you must have been. Excellent poem, yet again!

I love the attitude in this poem. You're saying what so many women are thinking. This poem is just excellent.
