Remembering September

My 9/11 10 year anniversary piece

You will always remember,
What happened that fateful September.

Tears fell as the towers did.
Innocence taken of women, men, and kids.

Families and friends torn apart.
Forever missed, memories embedded in our hearts.

Not for one second they haven't wished you were home.
Feels like yesterday but it was exactly 10 years ago.

Never ending memories of the ones we lost and love.
Once with us, now resting above.

Lets not forget the first respondents on the scene,
Will we ever forget the scene of the unforeseen?

Panic attack days, nightmare filled nights.
They had the whole world afraid to take flights.

Even scared to walk the streets,
Walking with our heads down in defeat.

So lets spread our wings now, and sign life's new lease.
To everyone we lost, we will never forget you.
We miss you and may you rest in peace.

    Very good write this is! The Title of this poem is great. Few years ago I had also decided to write this kind of Piece but I haven't written. But I am glad that you have done this job. And yes, I'm very sorry for those who lost their own people. I have also done a lot of research on it.

    I liked the way you have managed all Stanzas. Keep on writing. But I think you could have written better than this one.

    And also please check spellings before you upload any poem. I have found a mistake.

    This poem is actually good...really really good...
    The 9/11 attack was indeed terribly horrible...and I would say you have done an amazing job here.....

    I love this poem...i'm putting it in my favourites...

    I specifically love this line..
    Tears fell as towers did..
    That line was extremely beautiful....
