Hypocritical

by Ndanileka   May 17, 2012

I tried the stereotypes
They were just not my type
I prefer surround sound
A diverse crowd
An environment that's loud
Double standards
Because we fail to understand
Society puppets living in fear
Afraid to be judged on what I wear
It's okay to listen to rock and rap
Yet I frown upon people who swear
It's okay to pierce my ear
Any other part of my body it's considered evil
It all seems trivial
We are all equal but some are more equal
"It's okay to that but not in that way"
Who's to say what's fair to say
And not what to say
