Cats are hunters, equipped with an instinct
to survive. Especially a siamese cat they
    are very smart.

Again, this little verse is cute and will be adored by any cat lovers/owners. However the syllable count is off for it to be a haiku.

    My starving Siamese cat
    -1, 2, 3, 1 = 7 syllables.

can chase either any flying bat
    -1,1,2,2,2,1 = 9 syllables

    or an infiltrator rat
    1,1,4,1 = 7

I think you should use your own voice and judgment about the words and syllables and not use online checkers as the one you use seems to give the wrong answers? Which is a shame as the meaning's in the poems are always good.

    Lol this is pretty cool,

I like the syllable count as well as the rhymes at the end. Pretty genius in my opinion.

My only suggestion is to delete the (haiku part on the tittle. A haiku, if I'm not mistaken, is a poem with less than 20 syllables.. There can be different variations.. Etc. Any who, I like this piece.

  • I have a Siamese and no matter how much you feed her, she's ALWAYS hungry.
Lucky she's very quick and very smart. (:

This is such a cute poem! Simple, but effective.

I think you need to explain what you mean by expanding the haiku, that might clear up any syllable confusion,

As for the content, I feel you have captured the character of a cat really well, they will go after anything wont they?
I like how you used bat and rat, basically covers the floor and sky.
