A Forbidden Love

by LittleMermaid   Sep 15, 2012

Regardless of the traditions I'm aware,
The society, and I'm to toe the line,
Why did my eyes stop over again?
For the man who can't be mine.

He stirred my hesitant heart,
A budding love, that I can't deny,
Anxiety, happiness, both at once,
A miserable love, to end in a cry.

He's perfectly the way I crave,
With warming smile which easily knocked,
But, I'm to ignore or overcome the plight,
For, he's someone who shouldn't be loved.

"Walk by my side", I would plea,
But these affections are to be hidden,
Though my heart desires to hold him tight,
I'm unable to embrace this love forbidden.

Lovely write. The rhymes flowed really well, and I'm sure a lot of people would be able to relate to this.

Its just the feeling that strike the heart and time and again make it ache...even we just pretend being happy for not getting what we had craved for.

    Sad but true
