Greatest Intentions

I think of all the things you say
and wonder if they're true.
I question your intentions
and I doubt your love for me.

But day after day
and night after night
your words become louder
and my heart begins to believe.

In your small special ways
you make me feel loved
in a way that no one else can.

You can tickle my heart
from the greatest distance
and send smiles across the sky
for me to catch with my hands.

Some time has passed
and I no longer question
your intentions
nor your love for me.

For a love this strong
can never be broken
no matter the distance
that is between.

    I simply adore this pen! I can relate so much. I've always been the one to always doubt someones love towards me, it usually takes a while before I truly believe them...and then when I truly do believe them and I get that reassurance all the time, it's truly a wonderful feeling.

    You captured that all so well here. I will definitely be adding this poem to my favorites!

    Simply beautiful, I love the simplicity here, and how convincing and reassuring your words are. I definitely can relate to this poem because often times I question those who truly love me, but when I think of these special individuals my heart swell with joy.

    My favorite stanza...
