Unforgivable System

by Baby Rainbow   Mar 21, 2024

It's an unforgivable disgrace
that someone under the age of consent,
can be terrorised to their breaking point,
yet the perpetrator cannot be presumed guilty
without sufficient evidence.

It should be well above suspicion ,
when a damaged soul is found
dangling on the edge of life's rooftop.

An ugly loophole in the justice system,
that defeats the meaning of survival.

To have your entire closet exposed,
your baggage recklessly thrown across the media
for all to judge without defence.

Traumatic wounds split open,
familiarly with no consent,
looking for parasites in a haystack.

It is an unforgivable disgrace
that this is the system
for which justice is meant to take place.
