Emotional Escape

There's anger in this world of darkness
A feeling too strong to hide
It clawed its way from your heart
And found a way outside

There's sadness in the light
Making you feel weak and broken
It escaped the chains of depression
And swam into the open

Suicidal thoughts are turning into actions
You cut your wrists just to feel
Fake a smile and a laugh
Know it'll never be real

Angry words are sprouting from your lips
People ask what happened to make you this way
