Somewhere We Belong

by BrownEyedBabe   Sep 11, 2013

I lie awake at night
With a feeling of dread
I lie here alone
All alone in my bed
I cry out loud
I scream at the clouds
Waiting impatiently
For the sky to crash down
On this world we live in
Full of poverty and lies
No one helps themselves
No longer do they try
As advanced as we are
We're regressing so fast
As a race of intelligence
We're coming in last
I'm ashamed of our people
And what we claim that we "know"
We dwell on the small issues
And allow the depression to grow
So I lay here and wait
For the skies to crumble down
To give us what we deserve
Only a place in the ground
