Lose your worth

by Julia Helyanwe   Feb 17, 2014

Since I started wilting away like a rose
you threw me in the trash because
nobody wants something ugly
nobody keeps the dying things
you just throw them to the ground
shattering them like glass because
they lost all their worth. They have
lost all their confidence and you
don't see that right as they hit the ground
you have broke them.
You have broken them to were they can never
be fixed but you cant look back. You wont
look down at the mess you have left them.

Has your mother ever told you that when a painting has found its true colours that you should never paint over it just because you don't like the way it looks?

Darling you may end up okay but when
you are shattered and painted over
when you get tossed away because you've
lost your beauty, its hard to believe
you still are worth something.
