Little angel, put on a smile,
daddy's gonna fly with you a while.
Right past the moon to the stars,
you can wave hello to the yellow sun.
High above the milky way,
to the pretty planets far away.
To anywhere those eyes can see,
we'll make it there, you, mommy and me
No darling, don't cry.
Don't want no hurt in those eyes.
We're here, always by your side,
mommy and I, mommy and I.
This is a lovely little lullaby like piece. It is very well written and definitely has both the flow and tempo of a lullaby. The style is unique and even though it's a twist to a common theme for children your personal spin of "You, mommy, and me" was enough to set it apart from the rest in a way that really makes this memorable in ways you wouldn't quite expect. Very well penned, I enjoyed reading this very much.
Funny enough I heard myself singing it in a dream while napping after work - not word for word, but close. If I could sing I'd YouTube it, but I can only play the melody. Thanks very much for reading and liking it :)
