Being Drunk

Being Drunk

I think I’m a genius when I’m drunk
I wanna write when I’m drunk
I wanna sing when I am drunk
And give advice when I am drunk

The words that come out are magic
The way they sound so endearing
They make you laugh out loud
So elaborate in their actual meaning

I’m alive and strong
Not the reservation you see early on
I’m a magician of talent
From the past of years since gone

You remember my talents
From high school before
I remember a happiness
Of success of a childhood lore

I’m older and wiser
But want to remember w/ sin
And look to my cupboard for answer
W/ whisky and rum and gin

So a grab a bottle of liquid
And look to the glass for an answer
I’m a genius when I’m drunk
All my ex friends say I’m just a cancer
