Lineage

Lineage

A torch that is past
To a lineage that must last
A success of need
To pass on to your oldest seed
It hurts when you see a fail
Early in your prince’s hail

Struck down early is nothing of mean
So says that of your loyal Queen
If only you would heed her voice
You would sit and rejoice
The little things that you miss
Of his youthful bliss
