Light is right

Though we know sight is right
A yearning resides
To delve into night’s abyss
To break free from the light!

We do know light is right
But slaves we are yet still
To what has been made known
Though it be real and true

For light has always been right
But men can’t live in chains
At last giving in to the night
In its terrors to be free

For answers were not found
Though they were sought in the light
Then night seemed to bring hope
As we approached eternity.
