The Darkness Within

by stormingdance (Lessa)   Oct 29, 2017

I crash upon her boney shores
praying to suffer no more
She struck me with her thorny side
the betrayal left me paralyzed
Keep thinking I'll land in paradise
somehow I keep falling for her lies

I write a little poem and I feel better
but then the waves keep crashing
and the wind keeps scratching
But I know I can't let her win
or else she'll peel me to the bone
I hope and pray that somehow I'll let the fire in

Save me from her - the darkness within
