Fell

by Maher   Nov 22, 2017

Have you seen the waves that drip from the sky -
bound by the Earth and the faces of tides?

Or the clouds of storms in which you could swim,
where a hurricane's eye sleeps in the wind?

A sunset curses the falling of night;
hexed to return the taking of light
that the shooting star stole silently,
as she lit the heavens with silver tears.

One more pass 'round the ocean-clad Earth
to watch her love as he slowly turns
from the sting of the sun
to the calm of the moon;
it lasts not long
before he
pulls.

And as he turns, she draws ever real.
With every moment, she's breaking - still.
She closes her eyes, as does he his
to brace for the hurt of their first kiss.

    Being an audience to this poem, this poem swoop me off my feet. Love hurts, doesn't it! And yet, we are pulled towards it like a magnet to a metal. This poem was attractive from the very beginning, it kept catching my free fall in your words, and the ending was fantastic. A beautiful story.
