Kids lives are more important than adults,
You’ve shown me that.
Selflessly enduring your holiday,
You deserve a pat on the back.

I’m going to follow your example
And put them first.
No more selfish wonderings,
That only makes things worse.

Yes, they are the most important thing,
So family first.
I must wait and only dream to
Quench my thirst.

Wait until they’re old enough to not need me,
