Whispers In The Dark

by Muhammad Amiruddeen   Dec 14, 2018

Sing me a song of all that's gone
But save me the last that wouldn't be lost
Sail me on the lane so I won't be alone
Bury my soul over the sea to sky
Pillows of green washed by mountains of rain

The sun sets on my face
With all that's good
All that's fair, and all that's you
Petal of rose and amber of your presence

Look me with those eyes that chandeliers the moon
Eyes with penetrating gaze that aims straight to my soul
A vista to my paradise of heaven on earth

My heart whispers only to yours even in wee hours of the night
My dreams take me to you when my soul is down in sleep
But every waking hour of my day is in thought of you

If only I know what is hidden inside that chest of yours
Your name will be crest I wear to end of time.
