Im Here To Stay

Reading Through Your Poems
Into Your Soul Is What I See
I See That little Girl
And What She Used To Be

Many People Used Her
They Treated Her As A toy
Shes Lived A Life Of Fear
All Because Of That Boy

Along Comes This Guy
From A Friend Whose Seen It All
He Knows Not Of The Troubles
Knows Nothing Of It At All

She Sent Him to Her Site
Where He Read All Of Her Pleas
Putting Piece By Piece Together
He Had Seen All He Had To See

Well Its Time To Take A Stand
And Fight For What Is Right
Hes Read Enough To Know
What Really Went On That Night

They Met A Few Months Later
On A Nice Warm Sunny Day
Unsure Of Each Other
And What They Had To Say

Slowly They Warmed Up
To Each Other Thats To Say
Each Day He Thanks The Lord
Of The Angel He Sent Him That Day

Well Together They Are Now
He Loves Her More Than She Conceives
He Cant See His Life Another Way
In This Beautiful Girl He Believes

The Rest Of His Life Can Be Spent
With Her By His Side
Nothing Will Make Him Happier
From This Day She Has Nothing To Hide

She Sees Him As An Angel
But He Sees It The Other Way
He Doesn't Like To Leave Her Home
Cause He Sees It As Hes Walking Away

That Little Girl Is Coming Back
Yet This Year Shes Not Alone
She Might Be A Faded Memory
But He Is Here To Walk Her Home

Her Head Is Always Remembering
Of What Happened 12 Months Ago
Each Day Up Until Now
She Had A Smile Just For Show

This Year Shes Starting Over
With A Smile That Is Real
He Will Always Be There For Her
He Wants To Show Her Hes The Real Deal

This Love He Has For Her
Seems Like It Will Never Leave
She Has Been Through Rough Times
But She Has Made Him Believe

Believe There Is Love Out There
Believe That Life's To Short
Believe That Lifes Worth The Effort
Believe Its Time To Set Sail From This Port

He Though His Writing Days Were Over
As This Poem Comes to An End
He Might Just Keep On Writing
For His Life He Is Willing To Spend

This Love For Her Is Addictive
A Drug He Is Willing To Continue To Take
This Year Is All About Her
And The Smile She Will No-Longer Have To Fake
