Gone

by Bleeding Mascara   Mar 12, 2005

You're gone
your pretty face
your big smile
your way with words

You will be missed
- in fact
you already are
we need you now more than ever

We pray for you
to come back
home to us
and tell us your lovely stories

We fought a lot
but deep inside
we knew what
was right

We never saw eye
to eye
but we got along
just fine

I should've known
to be kind to you
to treat you
with the respect that you deserved
I should've been nicer to you

But I can't now
You were 15 and killed by a drunk driver
I can't change
the things that happened that night
Sometimes I wish that I could
But I can't
You're gone
