Older

My world is changing,
I'm growing up fast,
it's time for some re-arranging,
putting childhood in the past.
While I'm getting older,
new things will appear,
like the feeling of first love,
the need to be drawn near.
Things are getting harder,
but I'm learning all the same,
making up for mistakes,
and taking some blame.

Friendships will grow apart,
some will only grow,
interests become different,
they come and they go.
Friends become more,
then just friends alone,
affections star growing,
and are always being shown.
Fights may occur,
lies may be told,
words become harmful,
bitter and cold.
But in the end,
everything will be fine,
as long as you are the best of friends,
your friendship will always shine.

Families become stronger,
more loving and more kind,
these are the kinds of families,
that i would call mine.
Sure there are disagreements,
and problems between us all,
but they will always be there for you,
no problem is too small.
They are the ones that are always there,
comforting and kind,
the ones that are always near,
that are not that hard to find.

My emotions are flying,
I didn't know what to do,
how could i control them?
I didn't have a clue.
Eventually i learned,
and figured out,
getting older........
thats what its all about.
Growing up isn't always fun and games,
nor is it always so bad,
everything will turn out fine,
when its over ill be glad.

My world is changing,
getting easier to see,
for now all that matters,
is that I'm still being me.
No matter whats going on,
with family, friends, or with me,
I know what i should do,
its not that hard to see,
be myself,
really thats it,
just go on living my life,
the way i see fit.
As i get older,
it will all be clear,
and it will be a thing,
I no longer have to fear.
