Her Trial Wasn't Fatal

by bex   Nov 20, 2005

She Speaks With That Familiar Tone & Muffles Her Midnight Tears
She Kept The Photo, Now Disjointed, Of His Perfect Face
You Kept Her Alive For Those Last Sweet Moments
Now Sheltered Amongst The Secrets Of The Hour
Until She Sweats This Out, You'd Watch Her Enter The Heat Of This Disease

Like A Mirage, Denied To The Morning Sun
The Belt Buckle Fastened & Her Lipstick Applied.
With Eyes Painted On Would You Seek Through Her Smile?

He Signs Away His In Ambitions & Continues Through The Circle
Can't Help The Unfortunate At Your Heels
By Strict Rules They Must Abide
Like Manikins Made From The Imitated Mould They Emulate You In Every Sense
Not Far Now From The Edge
Can't Help You Now You're Struggling To Breathe
The Circle Is Far Too Dense Now, Keep Struggling To Leave

Simulated, She Was Tested
The Weakness Lies Within Her Hands
Book Your Appointment For She Has Grown
Any Likes Of You Have Been Erased
A Similarity That Once Appeared Delicate Has Become Her Very Core
All That She Believes In, Her Morals Safe & Insured.
