Growing Insane

It was a ray of light
That warmed my hand
That gave me the courage
To make a stand

It was the words
That whispered urgently
That it would be alright
for they would be with me

It was the endless talks
Inside my head
That said justice would come
For the tears I’d shed

It was the long night hours
I’d lost to pain
That screamed for revenge
A sorrowful game

It was the change
That shook my life
That woke me up
From being hypnotized

It was the ugly scars
Upon my skin
That stirred the feelings
From deep within

It was all of this
Put together
That made me realize
Something’s the matter

It was the feelings
And the pain
That was slowly making
Me go insane
