Like Kindergarten

Don't you wish things were simple?
Remember when you were young:
The biggest choice you'd ever make
Was to play hopscotch or jump-rope at recess.
Friends came easily for everyone -
there was no reason to be anyone but yourself.
Boys were "icky" and had cooties.
You could wear what you wanted and no one would care.
Your best friend was the girl who shared her Twinkie with you
And you'd never get into fights.
Valentine's Day was where you'd get a card from everyone -
You'd never have to wonder whether you'd get something or not.
Don't you wish things were simple again?
Just like kindergarten.
