Wrapped Up in Guilt

by alwaysremeniceus   Apr 8, 2006

You know I love you,
maybe you know too well.
The sky used to seem so blue,
now everything seems like hell.

Remember how we used to be,
happy and cheerful everyday,
But now my heart you just don't see,
and we've got nothing left to say.

It's not that I don't understand,
it's not like our feelings have changed,
Can't we just remember of what we can,
and stop this before our hearts are slain.

I gave you a heart so fragile,
and you gave me yours too,
Why can't we just wait wait a while,
maybe we can get through this too.

My heart you take,
I miss the once so gentle and kind.
But our hearts are now at stake,
as you lose control of your mind.

Each day my hope is fading a bit,
thinking back to those happy days,
But now we just throw our fits,
I wonder how we'll return to our ways.

Fate is something I have learned to hate,
all this is just driving us both insane,
Yet all I can do is sit and wait,
hoping we would be soon free from our pains.

As I lay down at night,
I wonder how did all the tension ever get built.
I realized we could've never had this fight,
but you're too busy wrapped up in guilt.
