Remember Them

by Always4You   May 30, 2006

Our flag blows gently in the breeze
As the sun beats down upon it
Our beloved symbol is still standing
Taking hit after hit

Time has not unraveled the stitches
Nor have faded the vividness
Our hope and pride stand still
Completely ageless

Many soldiers have fallen
Died for a country in which they believed
Please remember their families
Who were left behind to grieve

Any day that was set aside for them
Take time to remember the task they were called to do
They died to protect their country
But above all, they died for you
