Just Waiting

Just Waiting

Sitting in a corner
Eyes wide open
Head against the wall
I am just waiting for you to come.

Up the stair case
And down the dark hall
Shadows poring in the room
As you open the door.

My smile has faded
My tears have come
Here I sit
I was just waiting for you to come.

Your face is hidden by
Darkness and despair
My fear has come
As I stood up
From my chair.

No longer will
I see the brightness
Of the sun
All has turn bleak
As I was waiting
For you to come.

Take me quick
Take me fast
No longer will
You haunt me
For now I will no longer
Wait for you to come.
