I don't know (shh, don't tell)

by libby   Jul 30, 2006

Rush of creation
these fluid
malleable letters
slide, twist together
arc, cave, like i want you to
however i want you to
i don't know how i want you to
somehow it works
somehow i work
even if i've got
just about nothing
figured out
ever

and this is how i want it to be
discovering
and knowing
secrets secrets
all i am is secrets

i'm about to fling myself
off of the cliched cliff
not without a net of whispered words below
so don't try to catch me
please
it'll be better that way

just whisper
and just be

I'm with Gary on this one, truly a fantastic piece... I really love the second stanza, though the whole piece is incredible! Excellent work, Libby!

This is a fantastic piece.I haven't seen such a unique style like this in a long time(sort of abstract/surreal in a way).Every line is wonderful, amazing.I am so impressed with the way you wrote this poem.It is open to so many interpretations and meanings, and yet it retains such emotion. The 3rd stanza is really great, but it is the ending stanza(the last two lines) that really has such a powerful impact.I look forward to reading more of your work.
