Day Dreaming

Excuse me for falling in love,
With an angel from above,
She's standing infront of me.
You say it's nothing to believe in,
But as long as I'm dreamin',
She'll never fade away.
She turns away for a second now,
My confidence is pushing me to the limits now.
I step towards her pretty face,
Asking myself if she's worth the chase,
You would have never imagined what she said.

So sorry I can't today,
I'm not just quite ready for today,
The excuses are long,
I try to stay strong,
But my strength begins to fade,
I'll just have to re-wrap my heart for another day,
But all I can do right now,
Is just daydream about the day.

Three months since we've actually spoken,
I'm still hurt but my heart's not broken,
Just in uncomfortable pain.
I vision each other getting together,
Not wanting it to last forever,
Just to pass a day.
If only somehow she could read what's in my brain,
Tell her this cold shoulder is driving me insane,
She finds out what I'm really trying to say,
Approaches me within that day,
You would never have imagined what she said.
