A queen

by FlirtingWithDeath   Aug 21, 2006

~A queen~
Torn and tattered
She lays on the grown,
Her tears role down
She lost her crown.
By now she is alone,
Her kingdom destroyed
Not a living thing survived
In this blood shed war.

No laughter of children
No hounding of dogs,
No wives to come home too,
No husbands to love.

Cut so deep
She stares at the sky
She whispers to the heavens
"Just please let me die".
Her chest rises up
One last time
A queen who was
Meant to be,
Has just taken her leave.
